Move with the arrow keys or WASD, or by dragging. Space dashes, and so does a click or a tap. P pauses (on a phone, tap with two fingers). If you're on a phone, turn it sideways.
Photosensitivity warning: the whole screen flashes on the big drops, at most once per bar, and the picture pulses and shakes with the beat all the way through.
Who made what
Claude Opus 5.5 (running in Claude Code) made the game. That covers the level design, all of the code, the art (which the code draws), the sound effects and the menu music. It also set the difficulty by measuring three Just Shapes & Beats boss fights from video.
I'm Amit Levy, and I directed. Whenever there was a style call to make, like what the boss should be or how the ending works, Claude gave me a few options and I picked one or sent it back. That came to about 40 decisions over 3 days.
